(Boring legal stuff for parents)
Hickory Dickory Rock has the following legitimate business interests in collecting and storing your information:
I take your contact details to get in touch in the case of cancelled classes and for class / sign up information. I won’t send nonsense, nor disclose your information to anyone else. Mailchimp securely sends emails and stores email addresses under password protection accessible only by Ellie Wagg. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link included in the email. I ask for your location for ongoing market research to assess where new classes may be desired. I take your child’s date of birth so we can sing Happy Birthday, to manage class content, or graduation. Any health related information mentioned regarding your child will remain confidential and be stored mentally. Therefore, please remind me if it’s relevant.
I keep a weekly hardcopy register to record names for fire safety purposes and to record attendees during classes. I destroy these within one month. As I offer free trials, I keep a record of names of folk who’ve already had them. Your registration information on my home computer, under password protection accessible only by Ellie Wagg. I store records for one year after you have last attended classes to record who has had free trials or to reinstate (with your consent) in the case of returning to classes.
If you would like to request access to your information or to have your consent or information restricted or removed from our records, please email email@example.com. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think there is a problem with the way I handle your data.
